Addressing congestion is about more than just adding capacity. For roadways like IH-35, an important component is reducing the demand or the number of vehicles using the roadway during peak hours. Many businesses across the country are finding teleworking/telecommuting (working from home) to be a valuable and productive practice for their bottom line. Likewise, employees tend to appreciate the tremendous benefits of teleworking/telecommuting especially with today’s high cost of transportation. Please take a moment to give us your thoughts on teleworking/telecommuting by answering a few questions on the topic.
Short term: Remove downtown frontage roads, widen I-35 to four lanes each direction, build direct connector ramps to/from 6th, 7th, and 8th streets to/from I-35.
